Teneramente

Tenderly, with warmth and care

Teneramente is an expression mark: play tenderly, with warmth and care. It carries more emotional temperature than dolce, often in lyrical passages and chamber-music whispers.

It differs from soave: soave is smoothness, teneramente is warmth with feeling. The usual mistake is to play it soft — tenderness is not weakness; the point is whether the sound seems to take care of the phrase.
