Duoban (Stacked Metre)
A tightly packed metre of stacked phrases, used for rapid scolding or argument
Related
Duoban stacks short phrases like bricks: one clause follows hard on another, dense in words, short in melisma, the rhythm piling upward. It often sits inside liushui, kuaiban or yuanban, and can form a section of its own, used for scolding, accusation or argument that grows more urgent.
Its force comes from repetition and escalation: the same syntax returns, the diction gains weight, and the passage drives to a peak. Liushui and duoban are both fast, but liushui values flow while duoban values accumulation; listen for how the sentences are stacked.
